This weekend, my family and I set off on a little adventure to Mercedes-Benz World, located just about an hour away from London. What started as a fun day out quickly turned into a wonderful discovery of how accessible and family-friendly this iconic destination is. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of accessibility and how well-thought-out the space was, allowing us to explore without any issues.
First Impressions: Beautiful and Welcoming
Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by how clean and well-maintained the entire facility was. The vast open space offered a breathtaking view of the racing tracks, where we could see everything from sporty drifters to the sturdy wagons used for off-road driving experiences. The excitement was building even before we stepped inside!
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the staff, who were incredibly polite and helpful. They asked if we needed assistance, but I let them know that we were eager to explore on our own. One of the staff members kindly provided an overview of all the activities we could enjoy during our visit, which made it easy to plan our day.

One of the highlights for my son was the chance to participate in the racing activities. The staff were incredibly supportive, ensuring that he had help when needed while still allowing him to enjoy the experience independently. I was a little nervous, but one of the team members even followed him around the track to assist if he needed any help. Watching my son race with such confidence and joy was truly heartwarming.

We had a little time before our scheduled racing slot, so we wandered around and admired the cars on display. From sleek sports cars to rugged off-roaders, there was something for everyone to appreciate. The ground floor offered an impressive collection of cars, all easily viewable thanks to the open layout and accessible design.
The Mercedes-Benz store was another hit, with its easy-to-open doors making it hassle-free to enter with a walker. The staff there were incredibly friendly, even offering us some free gifts as a gesture of goodwill. This small act of kindness really added to the overall positive experience.
A Memorable Racing Experience
When our time to race arrived, my son was thrilled to get behind the wheel. He even had a go at the race car simulation, with a little extra help to make sure he was comfortable. The staff provided fantastic support, ensuring he felt confident and safe during the experience. I could tell they were being attentive without making him feel different, which was incredibly thoughtful.
Although we couldn’t try the off-road driving this time due to having the kids with me, it’s definitely something I’m planning to do on our next visit.
